１．研究会の概要
本研究会は、文系理系の垣根を超えて科学コミュニケーションのための英語に特化した英語教育研究会として、2015年に有志を募り設立された比較的若い研究会です。理系学部生だけではなく人文科学分野の学部生、大学院生をも対象とした英語教育に焦点をあてていることがひとつの特徴です。さまざまな分野の学部、大学院英語教育および科学教育に携わる人々が集まり、学際性ある研究会を目指しています。

1. Main Theme
Our study group was established in 2015 by a group of English education researchers interested in teaching English to science majors. One of our characteristics is that we focus on English education not only for undergraduate scientists but also for postgraduate scientists. Current members include researchers who aim to provide consistent English education from undergraduate to postgraduate level in the sciences, as well as those who seek interdisplinary and those seeking to have interdisciplinary research opportunities.

4. Message to Prospective Members
The JACET English for Japanese Scientists Study Group aims to collect useful information for English education, specifically for Japanese scientists, and to train them to be truly international communicators. We focus on developing more efficient and enjoyable programs and lessons for Japanese scientists so that they can fully demonstrate their academic abilities with our support to achieve their goals.
