2023年度支部大会のお知らせ

2023年度の支部大会は、既にご案内している通り、2024年3月9日（土）に関西学院大学 西宮上ヶ原キャンパスで開催します。

日時：2024年3月9日(土)
方法：完全対面実施
場所：関西学院大学 西宮上ヶ原キャンパス

大会テーマ：デジタル時代の英語教員の役割とアイデンティティ−技術革新に適応した英語教育とその役割の再考

基調講演：水本 篤先生（関西大学）

研究発表申込：2023年10月10日（火）〜 2023年11月30日（木）午後11時59分

発表をご希望の方は、次の要領でWEBフォームよりご応募ください。教員だけでなく、大学院生の会員による応募も歓迎いたします。会員の皆様の積極的なご応募をお待ちしております。

発表申込に関する詳細は以下の通りです。

1) 発表は、英語教育および関連分野に関する内容で、未発表のものに限ります。
2) また、発表者は、共同発表者も含めて、申込時にJACETの会員である必要があります。
3) 発表言語は、日本語または英語です。
4) 発表種別に関しては、以下の通りです。

  • 研究発表：理論的、実証的な研究成果に関する発表とそれに対する質疑応答のセッションを大会当日、指定された時間に会場にて実施する。
  • 実践報告：授業実践やカリキュラム改革に関する発表とそれに対する質疑応答のセッションを大会当日、指定された時間に会場にて実施する。

A) 応募情報

a) 発表形式：研究発表、実践報告の別

b) 発表題目（日本語および英語）

c) 発表者情報（共同発表者は氏名と所属のみ）：氏名（日本語と英語）、所属（日本語と英語）、E-mailアドレス

d) 発表に使用する言語（日本語もしくは英語）

B) 発表要旨

a) 内容：「研究発表」の場合は、背景、目的、リサーチクエスチョン（仮説）、方法（対象・内容・期間等）、結果、考察を、「実践報告」の場合は、背景、方法（対象・内容・期間等）、（結果）、結果に関する考察を簡潔に明記ください。いずれの場合も引用文献リストは要旨に含めません。

b) 分量：日本語の場合は400字～600字、英語の場合は200～300 wordsとします。

審査は、JACET関西支部研究企画委員会にて行います。また、審査結果は、2023年12月28日（水）以降にE-mailにて通知します。また、必要に応じて修正依頼を行います。

審査結果通知後の辞退は原則としてできません。

Kansai Chapter 2023 Conference will be held online on March 9th, 2024 (Saturday) as follows:

Date: March 9th (Saturday), 2024

Venue: Kwansei Gakuin University, Nishinomiya-Uegahara Campus

Conference Theme: The Role and Identity of English Educators in the Digital Age – Rethinking English Education and Its Significance in Adapting to Technological Innovation

Keynote Lecture: Dr. Atsuhi Mizumoto (Kansai University)

Call for papers:

Tuesday, October 1st – Thursday, November 30th, 2023

JACET members are invited to submit applications for research papers and practical reports. Applications are also welcome from graduate students. Please fill in the application form below and send it to us no later than 23:59 on November 30th, 2023.

The conditions and procedures for proposals are as follows:

1) Proposed topics should be relevant to English education and/or related fields. The proposed material should not have been presented elsewhere.

2) Prospective presenters (both representative presenters and collaborators) must be JACET members at the time of submission.

3) The language for presentation should be either English or Japanese.

4) Presentation types are as follows:

  • Research Papers: The presenter(s) will elucidate either theoretical or empirical research findings. All presenters are mandated to present their work, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, according to the scheduled timetable on the conference day, within the assigned venue.
  • Practical Reports: The presenters will expound upon classroom activities or innovations in English Language Teaching (ELT) curriculum. All presenters are mandated to present their work, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, according to the scheduled timetable on the conference day, within the assigned venue.

5) A web-based proposal form is available from October 10th, 2023, to November 30th, 2023.

A) Application form:

a) Type of proposal (research paper or practical report)

b) Title of proposal (English and Japanese)

c) Information about applicant(s): name, affiliation, e-mail address

d) Language for presentation (English or Japanese)

B) Abstract:

a) For a research paper, describe the background and purpose of the study, research questions [hypotheses], research methods (participant characteristics, details, terms and so on), results and discussion. For a practical report, give the background of the report, research methods (participant characteristics, details, terms and so on), (results,), and discussion. Do not include references in the abstract.

b) Should be 200-300 words if in English or 400-600 characters if in Japanese.

c) If not a native speaker of the language used, have a native speaker check the abstract before submission.

The proposals will be peer-reviewed by the Research Planning Committee. Review results and feedback, as necessary, will be sent by after December 28th, 2023.

In principle, cancellation after the acceptance of the presentation is not permitted.
