<講演概要>※講演は全て英語で行われます。
Classroom-based conversation analytic research has informed a growing number of teacher training initiatives (See Sert & Waring, 2025, for a collection of studies) in the last decade. Yet, more practice-based research is needed to implement a conversation analysis (CA)-informed teacher education curriculum that contributes to teacher development. In this talk, I will show the ways we can empower (student-) teachers through CA-informed tasks and educational interventions using empirical data from teacher education contexts in Sweden. I will argue that CA-informed teacher education and professional development initiatives can help bridge research/theory and teaching practice and enforce stronger links between universities and schools.

<講師紹介>
Olcay Sert is Professor of (English) Language Education at Mälardalen University, Sweden. He is the editor of the journal Classroom Discourse, and the author of Social Interaction and L2 Classroom Discourse (2015), which was shortlisted for BAAL Book Prize 2016 and was a finalist for the AAAL first book award 2017. He co-founded Mälardalen INteraction and Didactics (MIND) Research group in 2019.
