2025年度支部大会（予告）
2025年度支部大会は、2026年3月7日、大阪成蹊大学駅前キャンパス（阪急相川駅下車徒歩2分）において、対面で開催予定です。

2024年度支部大会（報告）
「多様化する社会に応える英語教育：AI時代の教育力とは？」という大会テーマのもと，2025年3月1日（土）に近畿大学東大阪キャンパスにて2024年度JACET関西支部大会が開催されました。
今年度も完全対面形式での開催となり，2件の基調講演，6件の一般研究発表，賛助会員によるフラッシュトークおよび展示が行われ，参加者同士の活発な意見交換が見られる盛会となりました。
第1部の基調講演では，トム・ガリー先生（東京大学特任教授）より「AIの衝撃と大学英語教育の未来」と題して，生成系AIの登場による大学英語教育の変化について，最新の状況と課題をご紹介いただきました。
第2部では、野口ジュディー先生（神戸学院大学名誉教授）により「ESP for everyone: a brief review, basic concepts, and classroom applications」と題して，ESP教育の基本概念と教育実践への応用についてのご講演をいただきました。
どちらの講演も参加者に深い示唆を与えるものであり，今後の教育実践に向けた多くの気づきを提供していただくものとなりました。

Report on the JACET Kansai Chapter 2024 Conference
Under the theme of “English Education for a Diversifying Society: What Competence Matters in the AI Age?”, the JACET Kansai Chapter 2024 Conference was held in person on March 1st, 2025, at Building 3 of Kindai University, Higashiosaka Campus. The conference included two keynote speeches, six research presentations, flash talks by supporting members, and exhibits, making it a vibrant event filled with active discussion and networking among participants.
In the first keynote speech, Professor Tom Gally (The University of Tokyo) gave a talk titled “The Impact of AI and the Future of English Education at Universities,” sharing timely insights into the transformations in English education brought about by the emergence of generative AI.
The second keynote speech was delivered by Professor Emerita Judy Noguchi (Kobe Gakuin University), titled “ESP for everyone: a brief review, basic concepts, and classroom applications,” which explored key ideas in ESP and practical ways to implement them in classroom settings.
Both talks provided attendees with highly thought-provoking perspectives and valuable takeaways for their future teaching practices.
2023年度支部大会（報告）
「デジタル時代の英語教員の役割とアイデンティティ：技術⾰新に適応した英語教育とその役割の再考」という大会テーマを掲げ、2024年3月9日(土)、関西学院大学西宮上ヶ原キャンパスにおいて2023年度JACET関西支部大会が開催されました。今年度は、COVID-19以降初となる完全対面開催となり、9件の一般研究発表、77名の対面参加者、そして賛助会員9社による展示となり、活気に溢れた大会となりました。
基調講演では、水本篤先生(関西大学)より、「プロンプトエンジニアリングで変わる英語教育実践と研究」と題して、豊富な具体例やご自身の研究成果を惜しみなく披露して頂きました。AIとの協働というキーワードのもと、英語教育の新しい方向性を示して頂き、大変示唆に富むお話を頂けたものと思います。

Report on the JACET Kansai Chapter 2023 Conference
Under the theme of “The Role and Identity of English Teachers in the Digital Age: Rethinking English Education and Its Role Adapted to Technological Innovation,” the JACET Kansai Chapter 2023 Conference was held on March 9, 2024, at Kwansei Gakuin University Nishinomiya-Uegahara Campus. This year was the first time since COVID-19 that the conference was held in person, and with nine research paper presentations, 77 in-person participants, and exhibits by nine supporting companies, the conference was full of vitality. In the keynote speech, Dr. Atsushi Mizumoto (Kansai University) gave a talk titled “English Education Practice and Research Changing with Prompt Engineering,” in which he generously shared a wide variety of specific examples and his own research results. It was certainly a very thought-provoking talk.
