「AI時代に求められる英語力－実践と評価」をテーマとして開催された2025年度関西支部大会は、講演が２件、研究発表は26件にのぼりました。当日は晴天にも恵まれ、会場においでくださった参加者総数も133名となりました。
おかげさまで、本支部としては、過去最大級の大会となり、研究交流会REPの新設、大会発表枠の拡大など、2025年春から進めてきた関西支部の「研究活性化プロジェクト」の成果を実感できる一日となりました。
講師の先生方、発表者の先生方、また、すばらしい会場をご提供くださった大阪成蹊大学様、万全の準備をくださった同大学の先生方、展示などでご協力いただいた賛助会員の皆様、そしてなにより、お忙しい中、会場まで足をお運びくださった参加者の皆様に深く御礼申し上げます。
また、支部大会では、学生優秀発表賞の選考が行われ、下記の発表が2025年度大学英語教育学会関西支部学生優秀発表賞に選ばれました。おめでとうございます。

The 2025 Kansai Chapter Conference, held under the theme “English Competence in the AI Age-Aspects of Practice and Evaluation,” featured two lectures and 26 research presentations. The day was blessed with clear skies, and the total number of participants who attended the venue reached 132.
Thanks to your support, this became one of the largest conferences in our chapter’s history. At the conference, we could tangibly see the results of the Kansai Chapter’s “Research Revitalization Project,” initiated in spring 2025, including the establishment of the new research exchange platform (REP) and the expansion of conference presentation slots.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the lecturers, the presenters, Osaka Seikei University for providing the excellent venue, the university faculty who ensured thorough preparations, the supporting members who assisted with exhibitions, and above all, the participants who took time out of their busy schedules to attend.
Furthermore, at the chapter conference, the selection for the student award was conducted, and the following presentation was chosen for the JACET Kansai Chapter, Best Student Presentation Award of AY2025. Congratulations.

大会全般の報告
2025年度JACET関西支部大会が無事に終了いたしました。130名を超える参加者とともに、基調講演を含めて28件の発表を拝聴することができ、中身の濃い一日となりました。様々な研究テーマとの遭遇もあり、また対面ならではの人の
触れ合いも随所に感じられ、愉しくそして熱気あふれる大会でした。今回の大
会の成功が次年度以降の大会でさらに大きな実りをもたらすことを心より願い

The 2025 JACET Kansai Chapter Convention has concluded successfully. With more than 130 participants, we had the opportunity to listen to 28 presentations, including keynote lectures, making it a truly enriching and fulfilling day. The convention provided valuable encounters with a wide range of research topics, and throughout the day we were able to experience the kind of personal interaction that is unique to face-to-face events. It was an enjoyable and energetic gathering filled with enthusiasm.
We sincerely hope that the success of this year’s convention will lead to even
greater achievements in the conventions of the coming years.
基調講演①の報告
2025年3月7日(土)、2025年度JACET関西支部大会が開催されました。
青山学院大学 安藤昇教授が、「最新の生成AIってどのようなことができるの！？」というテーマで基調講演1を行って下さいました。急速に進化している生成AIの、教育や研究への活用方法を具体的にご説明下さいました。また、AIを「使う」時代から「共に考える」時代への変化を、分かりやすく、ご解説下さいました。
懇親会にもご出席下さいまして、参加者にとっては様々なことを質問すること
ができる貴重な機会となりました。AI技術と英語教育との関係について、改め
て考える良い機会ともなり、講演会は多くの参加者とともに盛況の内に終了し

On Saturday, March 7, 2025, the 2025 JACET Kansai Chapter Convention was
held. Professor Noboru Ando of Aoyama Gakuin University delivered Keynote
Lecture 1 under the title “What Can the Latest Generative AI Actually Do?” In
his talk, he provided concrete explanations of how rapidly evolving generative
AI technologies can be utilized in education and research.
He also clearly explained the shift from an era of simply using AI to one in which we think together with AI.
Professor Ando kindly joined the reception as well, which gave participants a
valuable opportunity to ask him a variety of questions. The lecture also provided a meaningful opportunity to reconsider the relationship between AI technology and English language education. With many participants, the keynote lecture concluded successfully and in a lively atmosphere.

日野信行先生による基調講演を拝聴いたしました。先生のご専門である国際英
語について、専門分野を問わずすべての参加者に響くお話をお聞きすることが
出来ました。多文化共生という概念を軸とする先生の国際英語に対するお考え
に納得される参加者も多かったのではないでしょうか？国際的にJapanese
Englishを発信される日野先生のご活躍を心より願うばかりです。（報告者：

We had the privilege of listening to the keynote lecture delivered by Nobuyuki
Hino. Speaking on his area of expertise, English as International Language
(EIL), he presented ideas that resonated with all participants, regardless of their specific fields of specialization.
Many attendees were likely persuaded by his perspective on EIL, which is
grounded in the concept of multicultural challenges.
We sincerely wish Professor Hino continued success in sharing his vision of
Japanese English with the international academic community.
